Living in a Community

Mid-pandemic, I moved pretty far outside of the city. It's lovely – I giggle every time there's an article about people regretting moving away. Maybe they didn't go far enough?

This weekend was the community gardening and potluck dinner. A beautiful day when neighbors come together to improve the community and celebrate the start of summer.

The sense of pride is palpable, and the experience creates tighter bonds and closer connections between neighbors. It's the first time I feel genuinely part of a community.

Recently, I've only heard about communities in a professional context – around tools, professions, and companies. Indeed, these have their place, but the best community should be the one you live in.
